First of all I offer a couple of Daelyn's favorite songs.....Because music always has been something we shared together.
Daelyn Woollam introduced her dad to this amazing song by "Adele" titled 'Rolling In The Deep'. Adele's ability to stir the depths of emotion with her songs, reminds me of Daelyn's capacity to love deeply. Any man ever smart enough to marry her, will be fortunate indeed. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rYEDA3JcQqw
My daughter Daelyn, who is now twenty-one, has brought such a joy into this life. I am so grateful for her presence in my life, and for her gentle, loving nature. I wish to share some artwork which I saved from her younger years because, to this day, thoughts of her can cause my heart to jump a beat. That's not to say that Wes, Sarah or Jizelle don't hold my heart as well. But this space here is for Daelyn, who at the age of fourteen accompanied her Dad on a three week bus tour across India. I was pretty impressed, and so fortunate, to have spent that memorable time with her. Life is so short.
I also want to share a poem Daelyn once wrote in hopes that her dad would put it to music. A child's version of life can be so sweet and innocent.
A Poem by Daelyn Woollam (age seven)
Love is the best thing in my life Love is the only thing I have I hope that you have lots of love in your heart I hope you have lots of love
My heart its the best thing in my life My heart its the only thing I have In my heart I have lots of hope In my heart I have lots of love I hope you have lots of love In your heart I hope you have lots of love
Those who have children or step-children in their lives, know what I'm talking about. Jai Ma.
