This page of collected songs is dedicated to those family and friends who might one day wonder what Grampa Bill sounded like in his younger years. I regret not having the video camera and recording gear when my grandfather, Roy Teetzel, was gracing this earth. He was the owner of two 'player pianos' and over five hundred piano music scrolls of old favorites, favorites of the 1920's. He was a unique fellow who taught himself how to play his own versions of 20's honky tonk. I'm not even sure that 'honky tonk' would accurately describe his upbeat piano style. But his heart would light up a room whenever he started to play and sing his 'player piano' songs.
I vowed not to go to the grave without leaving some of these simple melodies for others to enjoy.
