Would Obama, like Gadhaffi, not send in the troops to quell an armed revolution in America?

Imagine the outrage of the US President if armed American rebel groups begin to demonstrate and riot.
The President would send in the US army. The world would witness an armed clash between American freedom fighters and the US military. Never would NATO countries decide to
'militarily intervene' and commence bombing raids on all US military
targets. NATO member nations, China, and Russia would all mind their own business. Would the US President sit still while all US government assets in foreign banks were seized? Would the US President allow the American oil fields to be privatized by these American rebels intent on an American revolution?
So, why have we painted Gadhaffi as a murderer, when the US President would do just what Gadhaffi has done, namely; Use the military to quell an internal armed revolt?
